Welp, it’s been a month in America. We’re going to do our best to keep calm and carry on. Maybe make some guitar pedals, incite y’all to revolt against silent stages, and make some human, noisy fun in an era where too much art looks like A.I. trained on “dogs playing poker” and too much music sounds like it was made by an algorithm.
First up, we meant to let everyone know this earlier, but we released another batch of our Shigeharu Germanium Octave pedals. It’s another limited run of around 100 pieces and it’s available through our retailers. If you’ve been a fence-sitter about Shigs, you should really snap one of these up while you can. Clips are below and I always have a blast playing with this thing!
Next up, we also have a very small direct batch of “Tel Daco” Hawaiian Pizza fuzz pedals available. Why “Tel Daco?” Well, that’s a story. I’ll tell the fast version.
In the 1990s, I became familiar with the most American restaurant of all time, a chain of Mexican fast food places we’ll just call “Tel Daco.” And while the market leader in Mexican fast food was known for a Seven Layer Burrito, how would “Tel Daco” respond?
EIGHT LAYERS, BABY. EIGHT!
So when we got these inverted enclosures with the hammered blue powdercoat of “The Blues” and our Hawaiian Pizza graphics, we wanted to figure out how we would make these stand out. Since the original/standard Hawaiian Pizza uses 5088 transistors…how about we make these…WITH 5089s?

Long story short, they basically sound pretty much the same, but with a slightly lower noise floor and the colorway is different. There’s a portion of this small batch of these available here at the Hawaiian Pizza page, and then we’ll release the rest to retailers on a first come, first served basis. Just select the variation you prefer!
I’ll say this for the Pizza: everyone at NAMM was kinda falling back in love with this thing, as it does more than just wooly fuzz. I think it’s been around for long enough that lots of people have seen it, but not as many had heard or played through it, so they had an idea of what it would be, and it still has the power to surprise. It sputters the way people like, it sings and dilates in fun ways…but then, if you back the gain down, it suddenly does drive things that people like. The gimmick of a pizza themed fuzz pedal got us some attention way back in 2018, but what’s given this thing staying power is that it sounds special, inspiring, and a bit different than anything else already out there.
Hope y’all are well. We have some really cool long overdue stuff that is just about ready for you this year. I can’t wait to make it happen. đŸ™‚
