ALPHA GAIN – SOLD OUT

First released as a limited batch for April Fools in 2023, people have clamored for a return of Alpha Gain. So we've brought back another very small batch in BLACK for July 4, 2024.

ALPHA GAIN repurposes the hybrid silicon/germanium clipping stages from our ICARUS pedals for a wider range of clipping and frequency emphasis. With the toggle in the down direction, the pedal is cleaner, full range, and has plenty of bass response, much like the gain stage in our Parabola trem. It's the sound of your instrument and amp, not just louder, but bigger.

With the toggle up, the bass is slightly cut, the mids get some emphasis, and the gain goes up about 10x without a dramatic shift in volume. Things get rich, crunchy, and creamy, but not hairy, fizzy, or metallic. This is still soft clipping, classic overdrive, but pushed further.

Can it add transparent boost or punch? Can it make your crunchy amp absolutely tight yet molten? Can it do a thick drive on its own? Can your tone be thickened, swollen, engorged, turgid, or tumescent? An enthusiastic yes to all of it!
